I already have Jason Vargas, but he spells his name Giolitto. this "Vargas" is also a high level suck player, but he's at least young with the potential to get better. I just can't see moving on Vargas.

LOL. I am willing to discuss moves with you, but Vargas has numbers almost identical to Giolitto. The ONLY reason I have not cut that guy is because he's 23 years old. There HAS to be something more there. I am starting him today against Detroit...
let me guess his line 5IP, 4 hits, 4 runs, 5 walks, 2 Ks...

I am looking at offering a combination of prospect /position player in exchange for a solid starting pitcher.
I am not really looking for any position players. I am looking for a starting pitcher.
My team and how i view my position players:
-Players like Phillips, Kingery, Bader, Luplow, Garver, Murphy are still "futures" players so I am not really shopping them per se, because I don't believe I'd get current value I need. IOW, I am not getting a legit starting pitcher for any of those guys despite how much I like them all. So unless I get an overpay none of those players are involved in this vine.
-Players like Olson, Castellanos and Grichuk are virtually not available. Why? They are the only 3 guys who can hit homers for me. Olson and Casty are not on the block period. Grichuk could be had if a power hitter came back, but then the SP would be limited there, so I don't see a fit.
-Merrifield. I've gotten some really laughable offers for him. This is a .300 hitter who steals bags with some pop. Don't want to trade him, but for the right SP yes I'd consider it. -Kiermair. Horrific start to season, but is starting to get going. Would I move him? With Harrison Bader now picking splinters out of his ass, my center field situation is a bit murky. Can newly acquired Brett Phillips slide into that spot? Perhaps. I would consider KK and while he wouldn't get me an ace pitcher he should be worth a solid guy who can give me 5-6 innings a night -Segura. I don't think I can move him. If I did, I'd be left with Kingery and Bote at SS. I like Bote and Kingery, but Kingery has clearly lost his starting job as the Phillies traded for a SS and immediately plugged him into the lineup and Bote I still consider just a prospect even though he's warming Bryant's spot in Wrigley. Needless to say the cost of Segura would be substantial.
-Kela. I am discussing Kela simply to see what offers I can get for him. Young back of rotation arm, not shopping him, but wonder what his value is.
I'd like a starting pitcher, a solid 3-4 in a big league rotation.

OK guys, here is what I want.
I want a "power bat". Age, position I am flexible on. I would also like a 2nd round NDP pick. I would also be willing to discuss the #2 overall pick in the NPD.
Here is where I will move: BULLPEN Kela, Melancon, Nate Jones, Vizcaino, Sherfy, Herrera, Roe. For probable closers like Vizcaino and Jones I would be expecting a good return. ROTAION Most of my starting rotation (other than Cahill) is untouchable, but I would at least "listen" on Heaney and Keller. Heaney would likely be too costly for you guys, but I'd at least talk OFFENSE I either have guys I simply can't trade like Olson, Grichuk (power bats) or guys who have not established their value (Kingery, mcMahon). None of those guys will be moving. The only quality/proven player I would consider moving from my lineup would be Jean Segura. I would talk Garver and Fernandez as well, but those guys probably don't have a ton of value
Inquire within!

Updated on the last day of November.
Still looking at deals involving: -Kevin Kiermair -Randal Grichuk -#2 overall pick in NPD
Needs? I'd still be interested in another Middle Infielder qualified player and possibly pitcher.
I like my team, but something is missing. Instinctively I feel like I need to tweak it some.

Time to rekindle some trade talks as we're a few weeks from Off season.
I have posted a list of top players I want in the trade block. I want a top MLB, proven talent at any position other than Catcher or First Base. The construct of the deal can be if you give me a star 3B, I will return a 3B eligible player ++ to you for a deal. If I get an OF, then I'll ship one of my OFs as part of a package that would also include a starting pitcher and possible another player (Pitcher or player TBD) depending on the two players you ask back.
Players absolutely not moving include Matt Olson, Alex Verdugo, Blake Snell, Luke Weaver, Kyle Tucker, Josh Hader. I will discuss any other player if it gets me the player I want. I am thinking a 2 for 1 or a 3 for 1 depending on the players asked of me.
I am hanging onto Verdugo and Tucker because they were acquired in the Gerritt Cole deal (along with Kevin Newman) last year so I am hanging onto those two young cornerstone types. But most everyone else can be discussed.
