I suggest this rule can be if a player involved in a trade is in the top 50 ADP on fantrax link beginning of current season. He should be put on the market for all to see. Also if a player in top 50 ADP is involved on both sides. Then it doesn't need to be on the market.

Would there need to be a certain time they would have to be on the market before making a trade? Also, how about top 50 prospects?

I like LAA’s idea. I think it would benefit the team trading away the top 50 player from getting magic beans and lint back in a trade. Helping to rebuild the team trading away a top 50 player by getting other teams involved and getting a more fair market return.

This would stimulate league interest imo. We want bidding wars like Cody Bellinger as much as possible.

Also, something to implement immediately or after the season?

I haven't figured out how to play the prospects into this yet. That could be up for discussion. The team on the giving end of the big name can still make whatever decision he wants in the end. Even the initial lopsided offer. But at least he can see what else is out there. Also probably 24 or 48 hours to be on market before trade can occur.

Anywhere from top 25-75 prospect should be made available IMO. Though perhaps say 50 each way- top 50 ADP and top 50 MLB pipeline prospects (or whatever the majority consensus is for prospect ranking website.) I really like this rule and I think it definitely helps both short term (help stimulate trades) and long term (rosters are more balanced for ownership churn)

I'm starting to believe this may be the best route or a lot least worth a try. Promotes bidding wars and gets people using the site a lot more

Someone posted in the shoutbox something that I agree with, but now it's gone. I agree on having a Trade Advisory Board consisting of an owner from each division. My comment on what that consists of is, is this deal in the best interest for the future of the league? I had a 28 team league with salary and free agents that is in it's 15th year, and we had a TAB. Rarely were moves ever vetoed throughout the years, but it was definitely something where we kept an eye on newer owners and watched out for the health of the league, because there is always going to be churn, but you don't want a new owner to come in, make a ton of bad deals, and leave a barren roster that can't be filled. If veteran owners made a trade, even one that was lopsided, we would let it through because we knew that they knew what they were doing, and had staying power in the league.
Either that, or have a certain number of players have to be put on the trade block before trading them- top 50 Fantrax ADP, and top 50 MLB Pipeline prospects.....or whatever we decide.

I suggested that first part. My thinking is the 6 people would be basically there to decide if the trade was in good faith/reasoning. So basically they get the reason behind the trade and make a quick vote...no more than 24 hours. Not really taking into account the players or teams involved (lopsided or not), but rather is the trade benefitting both teams in some manner and whether or not it's a dump trade (unlikley)
