Rule V

So someone in another league I am in brought up a Rule V Draft rule but in that league we have contracts. I was thinking because this league doesn't have contracts it would be a perfect fit.
Basically we would protect a certain amount of players from our major and minor league rosters each year then the rest of the players are up for grabs in a draft. This allows some turnover for the rosters, another draft to prepare for to help with the long off-season, allows for more trades, and adds another strategic element to the league.
Anybody have thoughts on this?

Would make this a keeper league which is counter to what it is suppose to be imo I mean if you make it like 35 players or a high number in which only 5 or so players will be exposed from each team.

In reality it will be. To draft in the new player draft you have to drop players or have open spots. Which will probably be between 3-6 for most teams. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
