The proposed rule change will be allowing all transactions including minor league transactions and getting rid of the rule that you can't add minor league players.
The rule would go into place at the start of the next week if we get enough votes. Please everyone vote.

The only thing I don't like about this is that it yields a situation where there's a race to see who can add a guy first. For example, whoever happens to be on Twitter at the moment it is announced that Conlon is being called up will probably be the person that gets him. What kid of waivers options does Fantrax offer? It might be best to have every player be on waivers all the time or something so that every GM has a grace period (2 days) within which to put in a claim on the hot new player. Even better would be to use a FA bidding system. That would be a pretty big change, though.

This would also do away with the 2 day Waivers on debuting players. (Current MILB players)
And Cle I think the free for all would be fine since you can add them 2 months before their debut or wait until it's announced and add them to your MLB team. It would be your call. I like the change. Makes it easier to manage as well.
Also this would mean current draftees and players like Julio Pablo Martinez are not eligible to be picked up since they are part of next year's MILB draft. They would be put on 2 day waivera if they debut since they were not a le to be drafted thus year

We all had the chance to draft these guys a few weeks ago yet they’re sitting in the FA pool unnoticed until we see the news that they’re being called up and given playing time. I imagine that’ll continue to be the case. That said, I’m fine with the rule. I’ll just have to find a way to have the MLBTR Twitter feed piped directly into my brain 24/7. I would suggest that all players be placed on 2 day waivers once the rule passes (I think there’s a function for this in Fantrax). There are already some prospects that have boosted their profile this season and there’s likely to be a lot of competition to add them. Similar to the current rule, who gets them shouldn’t come down to who happens to click “submit” fastest after they officially become available.

No, no, no. Too late for that. There are a bunch of guys out there that will be picked up immediately that the top waivers luck into. This change should be after this year if ever. Also, the yearly deaft is then useless.

So says St Louis...someone who benefited from a complete BULLSHIT move. You are the ONLY owner to have the luxury of picking up a guy when NO ONE else knew the player was available. Your move of the Pirates pitching prospect was complete shit and you know it...Miami knows it...and everyone else knows it. At least those owners who are not asleep.
NOW all of a sudden you are worried what other owners will do? get real man, you stole a player. PERIOD. I don't know if Nick Kingham is going to be the next Tom Seaver or the next flame out, but you got him illegally, totally unfair on every level. So pardon me if your concern don't mean shit to me.
OPEN UP the fucking minors. It's up to ME (or YOU) to cut guys if you want to pick up someone. What's it to others?

What do you all think of doing a manual 2 day waiver period using the reverse order of the current standings. This will be completely separate of the current waiver order. Afterwards everything reverts back to normal except the minors are opened up
Again Julio Pablo Martinez would not be available.

I don't like that Miami. I've purposely avoided using my waiver priority to move up...NOW, the shittier teams get priority?
Whats the point anyway? To replace prospects we no longer like?

If u opened up the minors it would be a free for all and make the new player entry every year totally useless no??

If u opened up the minors it would be a free for all and make the new player entry every year totally useless no?? Not really. You only have 6 picks in the draft you have all the players that will be picked in the June draft bc they are not eligible to be added until our new player draft and any players signing from the International pool.

The draft each year would include new draftees, IFA guys, guys like JPM that were ineligible for the previous year’s draft for whatever reason, and any player (minor leaguer or veteran, I think) that wasn’t on one of our teams at the conclusion of our playoffs (since rosters lock during the offseason). There are only 180 picks, so we should have plenty of guys to choose from. Question: how do we free up space for draftees? Do we go through a round of cuts prior to the draft? If so, are the guys that get cut draft-eligible?

OPEN UP the fucking minors. It's up to ME (or YOU) to cut guys if you want to pick up someone. What's it to others? 4.3 MLB Debuts 4.3.1 Unowned players with no MLB experience that are added to a real life roster can only be added at 8PM ET two days after their MLB debut. So if they debut on Tuesday, they can be added at 8PM on Thursday. 4.3.2 Commissioners reserve the right to manually add any such player to actual waivers, and owners can request that any such players are added to waivers. 4.3.3 Early adds will result in the player being dropped as well as the loss of the team's waiver priority. NOT an illegal move. The only thing that could have been done better was an email to the league, but that was also not in the rules so still not illegal. I made a legit move that you're upset about because the player ended up having a solid debut. Kingham really has nothing to do with this rule change as NYY is the one who proposed it and I'm sure he didn't even know there was a WW issue because he only jumps in the form once every few weeks to complain about a rule and ask to have it changed mid stream (example: this instance and when he was complaining about saves being a stat). Take it out on me though, that's fine.

To be fair to NYY, I also do not like Saves. I’ll propose that we kill SV/H (and BAA) in favor of SV+H for next season. It doesn’t make sense to have a category where many (most?) of the teams aren’t accruing any stats each week. I’d also propose that we drop RC and RBI so that we have the same number of hitting/pitching categories (5x5). I also want to swap AVG and OPS with OBP and SLG, but some will certainly raise a fuss about that, I’m sure. We shouldn’t consider any scoring changes until the offseason, though.
