To be clear, Ohtani is NOT eligible for the MiLB draft since he was an IFA signing, correct?

The MiLB draft can be done simultaneously, correct?

If it comes to it, yes. We wanted to at least get the MLB draft started though and see if we can knock out some rounds since the MILB is only 15 rounds.

Been getting some interesting offers, but looking to finalize a deal tonight or tomorrow so I could finalize my draft list. One more call for anyone who wants to jump in on the Fernando Tatis sweepstake (sorry my fellow Sox fans)

Would it become more interesting if we started the MilB draft to offset the overall waiting time? I also think having drafted actual MilB players, the weight of MiLB involved trades might become stronger. What do you think?

I'll talk with Toronto tonight and see what he thinks. I'll let everyone know sometime tomorrow if this is an option

Cool deal, just a thought, don't want to overload you guys. This is all great as it is anyway.

Didn't consider the in season option until STL dropped it in the shoutbox. Maybe that is easier; keeps them on the table as trade chips and time is on our side there.

Only thing with that is Milb guys that debut in April and become ineligible for Milb draft

We have to complete the milb draft before the season bc there will be a number of players that are only eligible for the minor league draft that are almost guaranteed to start the year in the majors, or be called up very quickly

Only thing with that is Milb guys that debut in April and become ineligible for Milb draft Which then become extremely unfair to those who have high draft picks, as those are probably the guys target in the top half of round 1.
