With 4 teams confirmed out for next season, we need to plan on filling them as quickly as possible. Everyone else needs to confirm they will be back ASAP if you have not done so yet. We plan on holding a dispersal draft around the first of the new year, where the new owners will have a mini draft consisting of all assets on teams that wont be back. This includes MLB, MILB, 2019 New player draft picks, and waiver order.
***Note*** All 30 teams could make a pick in the Dispersal Draft, if you trade into it with one of the new teams for a pick/player.

Would it be one big draft?

For the dispersal draft yes. All assets available to be picked whenever

Why wouldn't the new owners just inherit the team they're taking over? This dispersal draft sounds like a massive advantage for new owners. Four teams are going to have their pick of every unassigned prospect currently in the pool? They'll end up with 4-5 Top 100 prospects each whereas existing teams have closer to 3.

Doesn't that also mean that the draft picks we've been trading will be almost worthless since the new GMs will have taken all the best players from the most recent MLB draft?

No. They can only draft from the pool of assets on each of the teams now

So basically we take all the MLB, MILB, 2019 picks, and waiver for each of the 4 teams going to be in the dispersal, random order the 4 team draft and let them pick their team from those assets only

Other teams say yourself will have a chance to possibly trade one of your assets to a new team for a dispersal pick (or multiple picks)...at that point you could pick from one of the assets from the pool

Ah. That makes sense. I thought that you means that they could choose from every asset in the FA/draft pool.

Draft assets and order are on the Dispersal Draft tab on the Google Sheet
